Time for some ACTION

We are off and running on our journey to a healthier lifestyle. We need to keep in mind this is a marathon not a sprint, we are changing our lifestyle not dieting.  This is such a tough time of year for all of us who struggle or who have struggled with our weight, the food, the candy, the parties, you know what I'm talking about.

The most important thing we can do for ourselves is plan, plan, plan.  Planning ahead for our meals and snacks means we will be less likely to make poor food choices.  Make a meal plan so you can control what you eat and when.  Taking snacks with you when you know you will be away from home will keep you on track and feeling good.  Remember healthy food gives you the energy you need to do what you need to do.

The next few days will be riddled with tasty temptations.  The best way to avoid eating treats is to avoid having them around, which is going to be very difficult with Halloween just around the corner.  Have a plan for the candy that does come into your house, either from your children or for "trick or treaters".  If you have to have candy in the house try waiting till the last minute to buy it, less hours in the house.  You can also have a supportive family member or friend hide it until you need to pass it out.  Have someone else pass out the candy and you can just enjoy the cute kids.  You can have a piece of candy just keep track of it.  We are changing our lifestyle not dieting, you can eat what you want you just need to know what you are eating and how much, moderation is key.

Remember, we are here for accountability and support.  Keep moving forward and keep encouraging one another.

See you tomorrow!!!
